Empathy in its rawest form is the usage of mostly non metaphysical abilities to sense others emotions, normally this isn’t actually metaphysical as it is possible to understand and feel others emotions even without understanding the metaphysical portions of it.
The metaphysical empathy is a lot more -advanced- and in of itself, can do a lot more then just feeling the emotions of others, and in fact, is one of the most useful skills for a person to learn in my opinion due to the skills that can branch off of it.
Metaphysical empathy is used in its rawest form to feel the emotions of someone as if they are your own rather than just developing emotions because someone else is near, it sounds exactly the same but it is somewhat different due to the applications. Non metaphysical empathy can be inaccurate and not actually tell you the exact emotion the person is feeling. Metaphysical empathy is almost 100% to the point and you most likely will feel the emotion of what they are feeling to the same subject when you are using it.
But, considering that is mostly not nearly that good compared to other skills with just that ability, but wait! There are many other skills that can branch off of empathy and most people will learn in time.
One of these is empathic projecting, this is the act of projecting a emotion on to another, in other words, changing how they feel. This is normally done through a combination of linking to them and focusing the emotion on them, normally you have to force that emotion on yourself first for it to be effective.
Another skill that is commonly used and uses the above, is empathic manipulation. This is normally done to cause another to be persuaded by yourself much more easily. Such as, what if you want that job but the boss is a total ass? Use the combination of empathic projecting and empathic manipulation to make him more “inclined” to give you the job, and to be persuaded by you.
Though, don’t forget, there are ways to block off empathic projection and manipulation, just as there are ways to stop others from feeling your emotions.
