Parasites are a common problem in the world of energy manipulation, projecting, etc, I expect you to run into many of them the more advanced you get and the more energy you are outputting/inputting from/to the environment.
Parasites if you are wondering have many types that they can be, actually, it can be technically anything at all in terms of what they are/can do.
Parasites are commonly low-grade entities, as in, have less energy than most other entities, and are normally “prototype” entities or entities that were damaged beyond repair.
Normally parasites absorb your energy by hooking into your system, and trying to use your energy to sustain itself more so, normally that type is the most common parasite you can find.
The next most common parasite-type I have found is the one that latches on to your energy system and attempts to corrupt your energy. There are many reasons for this, the most common is because it needs energy to have a certain set properties for it to be safe to absorb, or the next reason could also line up with this reason.
Some parasites attempt to take over their host, as in, attempts to take over their energy system and make it their own. Normally this type of parasite is an entity that has been damaged beyond repair, and wants to repair itself, but cannot, so it attempts to take over another to compensate.
Now that is written, let's move on to a few basic ways to deal with parasites, of course you’ll learn more later on in your development, but here is some basic methods for the common “newbie”.
The first possible way to deal with them, is simply attempting to overload them with energy, this doesn’t commonly work on parasites but it can if the overload is strong enough, but overall, I don’t recommend this method.
The next is pulling out its energy from your system, and then forcing said parasite to either stop functioning even more then it is right now, or simply kick it out into the in-between.
The next method I assume most will use as it’s the most effective for a newbie to use from what I have seen. Use energy programming, (Much like a construct), and make said programming act like a virus, as in, make it corrupt the parasites energy, NOT YOURS, through either, stagnating it, or changing a property of it to hurt it itself. Insert said programming to it, but make sure the programming also constantly replicates itself inside the parasites energy system.
Of course you could always just take the simple method, and rip a hole through them.
